They are only found in the north from the Pacific to near the Atlantic. The Plymouth Rock is a piece of granite that is a glacial erratic, meaning that, like the pilgrims, Plymouth Rock traveled from its original spot.
I guess Iowa and as far south as Illinois and Missouri would you be able to see them today. My family took a trip to Yellowstone during the covid lock down and visited "Glacial Boulder" near Inspiration Point in the Yellowstone Park park. I have photos of it. I may have seen them in Oregon or Washington years ago when I was in the military but dont recall them. Thanks Lloyd.
