I remember you mentioning your neighbors tea olives. I am assuming that they are the common white flowered variety. There are also yellow, and orange flowered varieties. Beni kin Hokesui is a deep orange, "aurantiacus", almost red flowered cultivar. Fudingzhu blooms pretty much year round.
Yep, many mock oranges do have a very nice scent, but there are a few scentless varieties, as well. Although the yellow leaved variety has single flowers, there are double flowered cultivars, as well.
Like you've said, Woodlands is not too far from you. If I am not mistaken, you are also in the vicinity of Nurseries Caroliniana, also.
