Yes, that's a nice color. Camellias look best (for me anyway) just around the northeast corner of the house away from some of the harsh northwest winds but also away from harsh south facing sun. The leaves retain that deep green appearance. But, I am guilty of planting one on the south side of the house also because it's near the entrance to the house. The leaves on that one will gradually discolor in the winter. By March, it looks like crap but the flowers make up for it. When the new growth comes out in May, it looks fine again.
