Yes, Id love to try some Apple, Cavendish, Lady Finger and Red bananas. These are sweet and can be found in markets. Lady Finger bananas, also known as baby bananas, are sweeter and smaller than Cavendish bananas. In the past, more than 95 percent of the bananas sold in the U.S. are Cavendish, it's the cultivar that has dominated the market since the 1970s so the most well-known banana is the Cavendish, the large yellow banana commonly found in grocery stores and specifically named (Musa acuminata)
Sometimes you can find special type bananas at Lowes etc. but not now.
Mail order for (Musa acuminata) can range from $40 to $100 depending on size. Growing one, while a tad tediousm would be a fun project and actually all the plants in the post was meant for a fun project but I do like the potato and tomato project. Thanks Keith.
