still an 8b winter here

well sorta. Average daily temp in Dec 38, and Jan 35, so not the average daily temps you would see in a real 8b. Low so far in January 16f.
I can honestly say I have only seen this once before in 20 years where we had an 8b winter up to mid Jan. That year we hit our low in February and ended up having a 7a winter. We get tested again with an anticipated low of 17 this weekend, but things seem to warmup a bit after that. So far the unprotected needles are doing well.
