Thats great you are getting germination already. Those minors seem to be prolific. I can toss them down and get a 6" spike in the following growing season. Im glad to hear you have a friend interested in tropicals also. I hope she does well with all her plants and seeds. The only friend I ever had nearby that loved growing tropicals was Kevin (on this forum) but he got out of college and moved away. So congratulations on those germinations. Kevin was up this past summer and dug up a volunteer beside my porch. It could be called a 1g or maybe 2g and had been there for no longer than 2 yrs I think so if given the love, they will grow.
