I'm so sorry!

Usually when you have a swollen gland your immune system is fighting something off that's usually a virus of some kind, usually a flu. The joint pain sounds classic for a bad flu. When I've had a bad flu in the past I've complained that even my hair hurt. Like you, I suspect that if you ran fevers you'd be running one right now.

As a kid I would get strep throat all of the time but I can't remember if I would get swollen glands or not.

I hope all turns out well today at urgent care.

That's great that there's very little pain from the surgery!
