on black ice in my home parking lot. Landed on my left side and have been icing and going to my chiropractor. I gashed open my left knee, too and lightly sprained my left wrist and thumb. Thankfully I didn't break anything. I deliberately twisted and flung myself to the left so that I wouldn't land on my back and hit my head. We ended up getting 11 inches of snow in my area. Some areas got 18 inches.
