I'm paying down a credit card charge. I receive the statement via snail mail. I've never had a problem receiving it in my mailbox. Then late November I received a reminder from the company that I was late paying November's bill. It never showed up in my mail. When I called the company to pay, they nicely removed the late fee since I've paid regularly in all the years I've had the card and then had me go ahead and pay December's also.

When they checked their notes they said that the statement had been returned to them which then entailed me calling my post office to let the carrier know that I hadn't moved from my residence and to keep delivering my mail.

Well, this yesterday I realized in time that January's payment was coming due. I checked my mail this morning and no paper statement. I called the company to make the payment and when the CSR checked their notes, once again the statement had been returned to them. When I told her that I haven't ever had a problem until November she said that she was putting an investigation flag on it. I explained what I had to go through with the post office as a result and she said that she bumped the investigation to an even higher level.

Has anyone had this happen to them? The mailing address is the correct address. And like I said, I've been receiving the bill with no problem until November. However, if somehow the company messed up the address I wouldn't know because I never received the statements. Anyway I thought that I'd pick your brains.
