I posted more on the Tiel Chat side about her physical problem with not being able to create a shell. And yes, I agree I would have definitely noticed any yolk. And I only play music for her on Sunday mornings. But, she was back to completely normal yesterday morning, last night and this morning. I'm just monitoring her for the time being. I did an exam on her belly that night and it was completely normal. The vet who did the complete workup back in July showed me her belly and I felt it so I somewhat know what it feels like when repro stuff is happening. There's no way to definitively prove that her shell maker is defective. But Dr. Morris explained it in terms of a normal hen creating an egg is A to B to C to D with the brain talking to all points and all points understanding. With Shiloh it's more like B to D to A to C and none of these hears what the brain is saying. So in a weird way maybe her body wiring heard "I'm laying an egg" but nothing physical was reflecting that and she reacted in a typical fashion of a hen who has laid? As Anne used to post: "I dunno."
