My big Butia should produce fruit this year if the weather doesn't get catastrophic in the next month or so :

Pansies are blooming well ( and the weeds are growing well ) The Mekong Giant bananas are also growing out some . They'll get zapped soon enough ; probably next week when I'm seeing some colder weather coming down :

It's been mild and this Washy thinks it's spring . It's grown quite a bit since the last time I showed its growth . It would be great to keep this 9A winter ; if it stays above 16F I will leave the old fronds on as a skirt and I won't need to protect it :

Everything looks so nice. I'm glad to see the washy growing back so fast! My butterfly gingers are starting to pop up in Columbia, SC. I don't even remember them coming up this early when I lived in Florida!

Most forecasts keep me 9A but low 20'sF could change . As long as the lows stay above 16F I won't have to protect my Washy and I'll be happy .

So far so good . I'm not seeing anything bad in the forecast as of today . I need to get to February 15th for most of the worst weather to be typically over most years due to the sun strength then . That's only a few weeks away .
