This is the first time I've done this circle of Citrumelos around the tree . I had a huge harvest this year and the tree is still paying off as an ornamental .
What do you think ?

I really like it. Maybe if I would plant one, the squirrels, rabbits and deer would stop eating everything in site and just chew on those. Where did you get yours?

Hey Tommy ,
I got the tree from Chilly Palm Tree Company near Charlotte .
You can’t beat them for some January color . It has seen 4F with defoliation but most years it is evergreen .

What shocks me is just ho how pest-free your tree seems. Citrus at my place is by far the most pest-plagued genus known to man. Sucking scale, whiteflies, and leaf minors are constant problems. Black sooty mold covers the leaves and fruit making everything black. Spraying only makes it worse. Ant control may work, but I can't keep up with it. Yellowing and nutrient deficiencies are a problem too. I would have to scrub each fruit with a scrub brush to make them even close to the look of yours under the tree.

Outstanding color for winter. The circle of fruit is an amazing ornamental feature and those palms look great. With about 6 weeks left until the first day of meteorological spring, you got this Will.

Looking good for winter this year so far but usually about February 14th will decide on whether there will be any zone defining temps . My lowest so far has been 21F . That would be awesome to have a 9A winter .

I'm pretty sure one of the next pictures with color will be my Butia blooming and fruit growing on that palm this spring into summer . It has never bloomed but it is getting really big and with a mild winter I'm pretty sure this is the year .
Now that I've said that watch a cold snap come down lol .

One thing I'm going to do now that most fruit are off of the tree is to prune some of the inside smaller branches so air can penetrate the tree . I'll just generally clean out the junk inside that might become pest issues in the future .

I''m glad you mention some of those issues which will give me incentive to try and keep it pest free . It might help that my tree out in the open away from other plants . Sorry about your Citrus issues Ryan .
