Differences in TN climate- 90 days at 90F or higher this year in Nashville, 5 days in Crossville.

Nashville has had 90 days so far in 2019 at 90F or higher. Crossville, just 2 hours east, has had only 5 days. That is how varied Tennessee's climate is because of terrain and proximity to the Gulf/Plains vs mountains.

Ive had 50 90'sF this summer with a few more probable in the next week and a half . A lot of 89'sF but they don't count lol .

Today is our 91st day but we still aren't at our record which is from the 1950s. The differences in Tennessee Southern low elevation climate and Tennessee plateau/mountain elevation climate is amazing. I think sometimes a couple folks from the Mid-Atlantic think all of Tennessee is Crossville. Lol.

Its going on 7pm October 5th and you could fry an egg on Broadway in Nashville tonight. That 92* temp is 10 miles away at the Intl. Airport, lord knows how hot it is downtown.

This is an older photo of the skyline, missing is the gulch skyscrapers (reminds me of driving through Atlanta on I-75) and the Amazon towers coming to life.
btw Its raining here, thank you Jesus, Its been almost 9 weeks since we had a rain shower.
and your right about Crossville's 5 temps at 90* or better this summer, Im 34 miles NNW of there and we had 70 days of 90* or hotter this summer.

Hi Rob!

I think we are near 100 days now at 90F or above. Later today FINALLY the rain comes. Believe it or not, we did not have our hottest September on record but we did have our driest.

I have to show you updated pictures of my largest palmetto. It's definitely out-growing it's space!
