I know the usual reasons. Nothing nefarious. People can even age out of an interest. Heck,my memory isn't what it used to be, so sorry if I left out the many names of contributors. Sometimes on other boards it take my finding an old post on google images..going to it and realizing somebody I knew well I hadn't heard from in years.
I hope for the best for all. Plant people are among the best people.

Yes, most are on FB and there are a few good forums out there but dont think someone isnt watching here just the same.
How long does it take you too scan a few photos or comments on FB ?
Terry from NJ and I pleaded with Ian a long time ago to put a counter on the posts here as seen on other palm forums and he most graciously obliged.
A look at your Walgreen post (for example) on forum page 3 is showing 336 visits.

I guess more of my Dinosauria to not re up to facebook with Stan the Plant or something.
Right about now,I have no more room for potential large plants and Rob,I've spent the spring and summer removing some that were too much of something..litter,spiny in the wrong spots,never lived up to the promise.
I want to simplify the care,use less water.
So,I post more of around town more and less of my "pet" plants.

That's a good thing Stan. Everyone should do some house cleaning (in the landscapes) after a while. Its what keeps it interesting and where you live, I never get tired of looking at the incredible and the inspiring. Thanks

I'm still lurking! I recently moved from Florida to South Carolina for work and have lots of new pics to share soon. It's harder to upload pics on this form than it used to be years ago, but I definitely will update on here soon.
I'm enjoying everyone's pics in the meantime!

I, unfortunately, don't have any gardening space at home, but I have plenty of space at work. I'm planting a pindo palm this week! Greenwood is very close by. I am loving this area so far!

Awesome Alex. I have a couple of pindos in my yard here, along with other palms. Let me know if you are ever in Greenwood; I think I know most of the public palm plantings here. Columbia has a ton of palms, especially palmettos. Welcome to the Palmetto State.

I'm glad you're having lots of luck with palms in Greenwood! I've seen some nice ones growing all the way up in Greenville. So far I've been pretty impressed with Columbia's palm plantings. I've found about 10 Washingtonias and I didn't think there would be any. You can definitely see the love for palmettos in the palmetto state! haha

I dont think I have seen that one! Is that out towards Lexington? The tallest one I've seen is on the east side of Columbia. I can't remember the name of the street at the moment but I took pics a few weeks ago. There's a clump of three really nice Washys on the northeast side of town. They all look really happy after this past warm winter!

There are some real gems in Columbia. The Washingtonia that I am talking about is right past the hospital headed toward the city on Highway 378 I believe. There is a palmetto near it. It is on the right hand side of the highway.

I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for the washingtonia by the hospital. I found one of the clumps I see during my morning commute with google street view. There are some really big eucalyptus in this neighborhood too!
