It's so good to see you're still around!
In 2009 (give or take a year), you gave me a Live Oak the size of a pencil. It's now a 2-story monster of a tree!!
Unfortunately, I planted it where I work, so the grounds crew guys regularly trim it up. But it's not all bad news. They haven't really interfered with its upward growth, just with its spread. The result is a very "bushy" and dense Live Oak.
Since you gave it to me, it's seen 2F in 2015 and 2018. And five winters with lows between 4F and 6F. In the harshest winters, leaves burn to brown, but I've never had any stem dieback. So each spring, it flushes out new growth like nothing happened.
