Typically, when referring to a winter, the "proper" usage is to label it of the year it ends in, not the year it begins in. The map says "Winter 2020" when it should say "Winter 2021." I think this practice was decided upon due to the fact that whether you go by astronomical or meteorological winter, the majority of the season lies in the new year - the year it finishes in.
I think also acceptable would be something like, "Winter 2020-2021."
That hilarity aside, I hope that map comes true! I would be so thankful for a repeat of last winter. We got pretty much no snow and an 8b winter minima. My palms today look better than ever. That's because they took zero damage last winter and are now showing two full growing seasons' worth of fronds. I'd love to see them with three years' worth!
