Re: Re-Growing Windmill Roots

I think it will be fine but I would water it a lot in the warm season . You won't believe me but in the summer I used to water my established palms 3-4 times a week . I was a watering maniac . So in the summer Trachys can take a lot of water . Your palm really could use water since the roots are disturbed . I'd water it well once a week from now till fall regardless of rain for the most part .
When I watered a lot , I would get 2 feet of trunk a year on my Trachys . Now that I don't water that much anymore I get about 1 foot a year of trunk .
It probably won't grow much trunk until its root system is reestablished so watering should be really good for it . I know that cutting too many fronds off of a Trachy slows its trunking , so cutting off too many roots should also slow its trunking till it reestablishes its root system , I would think .
Good luck ,
