The damage in Nashville, the eastern suburbs and Cookeville is horrible. The tornado was an EF3 here and an EF4 near Rob. The EF3 traveled 60.5 miles on the ground. The severely-damaged section of Nashville is where I drive nearly every day and those roads are blocked.
It just blows my mind how many people make it out alive and even uninjured when an entire building collapses.
There are so many transplants in East Nashville and Nashville now that many were taken off-guard. One of the main reporters didn't even know a tornado had hit Nashville previously and kept reporting that it was the first time a tornado had hit the city. He was standing on one of the same streets devastated in 1998. I keep wondering when someone from Channel 5 will correct him. The same spot was also hit in 1933.
I would post some pictures but it's such a pain on Photobucket now.
Thank y'all for checking in!
