I did find it interesting Lucas .
It makes sense that northern Europe would increase food production by those methods .
Those techniques have really helped me with my Med Fan and Butia odorata . Those plants were hardly burned when I had that 4F a few years ago . There was living tissue on the Butia 7 feet away from the house during that cold shot .
This picture was taken 2/18 and shows what a great southern exposure microclimate my " ornamental palms wall " is for those palms :
