I recall a particularly drawn out year for a hard freeze. I'll define that as a morning low of less than 27F. I had my container plants out deep into December. Maybe even to New Year's Day. But, by "container plants" I don't mean petunias and geraniums. I mean hardy palms, Laurus, Yucca -- that sort of thing.
The less hours they have to spend indoors, the happier they are. Rare are the plants I've owned that did better inside than outside.
Kind of makes you wonder if WE should be outside too!
