I usually buy potted palms but in your situation I would put a foot of leaves over them during the winter . That would insure the ground doesn't freeze and they should be fine on those few coldest nights . You may need to do something to keep the leaves from blowing away such as cover them with chicken wire .
Good luck and tell us how they do .
Leaves insulate well but they don't smother the young seedlings .
