I am interested in
Sabal minor (McCurtain, OK) 1 G, $15.00
and
Trachycarpus 'Bulgaria', 1 G, $16.00; or preferably the 3 G, $28.00
I am looking for something that is "plant and forget" like our 18 year old fatsias, basjoo grove and cast iron plants.
Lol, getting too old to lug the 15 year old sago and butia back and forth from the cool shed for January through March.
Our sabal 'Louisiana' was a complete fail in an exposed area 10' from the front of the house. 2 'not dead' fronds a growing season then crispy each winter.
Year 4 of hoping it will improve. Is the 1.5' of trunck the problem or just the variety?
The unnamed sabal minors in the back yard are under a tree and do ok but no visible trunk.
Will the sabal minor McCurtain do any better than the Louisiana in the same spot?
Thank you
