If you can find a spray bottle of Wilt-pruf this might help.
It coats the leaves helping them retain moisture but allows them to breath....
you would have to take it back out and really soak it, the Wilt-pruf should smother any small bugs(like spider mites) as well.
This stuff works great at helping plants avoid desiccation from winter
In other words, it makes the plant feel like its humid out to some degree.
