Lucas, I'm having the same issues with mule palms in very sandy soils. Like queen palms they can suffer from micronutrient deficiencies. I have been adding shredded leaves as a mulch in an 18" radius from the base of the palms and 1.5 ounces of Micromax to each on an annual basis with great results. This is in addition to a 3-1-3 ratio slow release fertilizer.
