I do have an asparagus patch in my yard. I have never had them pop up in my yard though. Funny thing is, I have contemplated ripping it out because it has produced so poorly. This was my third year of harvest and I can never get more than a few spears at a time, and it grows so quickly, I cannot get out there every day to harvest just a few per day. I though it would have filled in better than what it has. I planted 14 plants 5 1/2 years ago.
