Re: Subtropical vs Temperate limits
I tend to define Subtropical in the East as places where Spanish moss naturally grows. All maps I see put me in Humid Subtropical and put the dividing line near the Ohio River. I will say that I used to LOVE Blue spruce as a child. We made many trips to the Rockies during my childhood. My dad and I both would wait until they were selling Christmas trees with the root ball in tact to buy and plant one outside. We did it three years in a row. None survived.
