The 70's were exceptionally bad. I'm just hoping they are not coming back. I thought we were out of the woods when we experienced 20 straight winters without going below zero, then we have experienced below zero every year except one. Even so, mature mimosas seem to be very hardy here, though figs and crapes will still die back to the ground.
