Gary Hollar, who germinated at least two of the palms I planted here in 2007 lives in New Bern. New Bern got PUMMELED with flooding, as some of you might've heard.
Maybe even worse is Carl (the retired tugboat operator). He lived right on the Pungo River -- tidal at his place. I can't imagine that his property came away unscathed.
I really wonder about those two guys. Hope they're alright.
