Rabbits are present in my neighborhood. I've even spied them in my front yard, once in a blue moon. They seem to do no damage though. I think they are more interested in eating my grass & weeds than my BLEs.
There are also woodchucks around. THEY are awful. I haven't had them in my yard, that I know of, but I know from past places I lived that they will eat every green thing in your yard. I believe I benefit from living in the middle of a long row home block of houses. Most of my neighbors have dogs that are outside, in their back yards, most of the time. I think the presence of the dogs keeps the woodchucks, rabbits and deer at bay.
