Re: Where to buy Region 1 with original music
yes Jim this is the set you need ,to get the original music and the extras, enjoy.
Thanks for the feedback Craig.
I did buy a Region 2 box set (15 discs). But it doesn't indicate Fabulous Films - my set is from studio: Fremantle Home Entertainment: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009FAVMUS?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image
Came to $63.79 US dollars. Is this set the same as you mentioned?
My plan is to see if it plays. If not, either convert my Blu-ray Samsung player to Region Free using these:
Or in worst case buy a Region Free player - $40 to $70.
Hi Jim Sydow. Welcome, and thanks for letting me know about the chrome problem. You cannot get an official R1 release with all the original music, and there will probably never be one due to the costs involved vs the return. A company would either never recoup the cost or it would have to wait a very long time to get a small return. This more so now that the R2 version has been out for some time and people would need a very good reason to buy yet another set. The UK R2 set from Faboulous films has the original music and the 3 part documentary. So I don't see what a new release could add. Perhaps more interviews with some more of the cast, who didn't for what ever reasons take part. I did a piece years ago about the cost of the music and possible reasons why Sony didnt use it. Hi, and thanks for the work on this web for "Tour of Duty" (:
I'm having trouble with your website using CHROME web browser (it's current).
So asking this here instead.
Trying to find the complete 3 season DVD's of this with original soundtracks of 60's music as aired in 1987 is so frustrating. The only ones I can find with original music are Region 2, mostly from your Australia. Not to seem prejudicial, but this is after all an American TV series. Sony tics me off they don't do this right for Region 1 USA/Canada!!!
The stuff from Mill Creek Entertainment is not original music. Shame on them for not making it obvious.
So can you send me links to buy a Region 1 set of this TV series. Must have original music soundtrack.
Do you know if any company is planning to do this TV series, with original music, for the USA and Canada? It is long overdue!
