Pss. Maria Cristina d'Orléans-Bragança died yesterday, at the age of 74 years old.

She was the 5th child and 2nd daughter of the late D.Pedro Gastão d'Orléans-Bragança (brother of the late Countess of Paris and Duchess of Bragança) and his wife D.Esperanza of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (sister of the late Countess of Barcelona).

The princess leaves 2 daughters from her 1st marriage to Pr. Jan-Pawel Sapieha, Pss Anna Teresa and Pss Paola-Maria and one grandson.

Her elder sister is Maria da Glória O-B Duchess of Segorbe (ex-wife of Pr.Alexander of Yu).

She was recovering from an abdominal surgery when she suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest.
