His Royal Highness Louis, duc d'Anjou, Eldest Son of the Church, has issued the following Christmas message:

On this Christmas Day, Princess Marie-Marguerite, our four children and I are gathered to celebrate the birth of the Son of God. Our prayers and thoughts go to France and the French people so that everyone can find a little joy, comfort and family spirit at the end of a year marked by many trials.

May this holiday be an opportunity to express kindness towards those close to us as well as towards those who are most vulnerable. At a time when some want to eliminate the weakest in our society, on the contrary, let us know how to surround them, protect them and bring them a moment of kindness.

May our eyes focus on the Child in the manger who has just been born and may his universal message of peace and fragility inhabit us to encourage us to work for good within our families and our country.
