I haven't seen it yet myself, but I have read comments and talked online with others who have done so. The consensus seems to be dissatisfaction with the amount of detail and time spent on various aspects of his life - political, career, family, international relations and wars. You can only cover so much about an historic figure in around 120 minutes onscreen so many viewers I read find this or that aspect of his life/career to be only related in a superficial manner. But I will watch since I have some personal link to the Bonapartist era on my maternal side and it intrigues me, and there may be a few good scenes or insightful moments.
