In the magazine article, Ms. Casiraghi claims that this documentary was an effort on her part to ease some of the obsessive anger she has felt since childhood and is not an act of vengeance. In an follow-up online article from the same magazine, which I link below, the younger Prince is quoted as saying he thought she was mostly fair even though he disagreed with a couple of things. (Presumably the fact that his father killed a man first among them!)

It might also have been said, or at the very least implied, that the Crown Prince and his son could refuse to be interviewed but that the documentary would go ahead anyway without any counterpoints or views they might otherwise want out there… Perhaps a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” kind of scenario. I don’t envy them.
