About non matrimonial children inheriting titles it is no so clear. If the letters of creation explicitly says that the title is to be inherited by legitimate descendants, only those can inherit.
On another thread, someone wrote that Olivia, elder daughter of Francisco de Paula, the present Duke, had ceded her rights to succeed to her younger brother Francisco .
Some questions.
1. Such cession would need to be written before a register officer/notary or the Nobility Council or being a branch of Bourbon family, would it need a royal approval ?
2. Given the fact that Olivia is the mother of 2 (under 18) children, could they contest their mother's cession when they reach majority ?
3. If the cession is valid, Francisco's present only child, another Francisco, born out of wedlock, could succeed on his father's title or any sibling born from an eventual future wedding (his father announced an engagement to a qatari princess) would prevail on the succession ?
