Still her death is sudden and no doubt a great loss for her family and friends. Im expecting we might see Princess Beatrix from the Netherlands and the Princess Royal attending her funeral.
Marlene Koenig published 2 days ago an article on Infanta Pilar and her debilitated condition in Royal Musings.
Despite her serious condition, she looked so cheerful (one doesn't know when the photos were actually taken), that it was hard to foresee such a fast end.
So sad for such a great lady.

King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia visited her hours before her death.
Her remains will be moved to her home. It is expected that the King will pay a visit this evening.
No news about her burial. I suppose she will rest with her husband and not at El Escorial.
