Some upper class people can have “posh” accent. Fortunately, no member of the Spanish Royal Family have it
Girls of Leonor's age can be self conscious and would be reluctant to stand and speak in public like this. She obviously has great character. Do the Spanish Royals have an upper class, non regional accent like the British Royal Family (the ones brought up in the role)? I know in Germany and Scandinavia the Upper classes do still have a regional accent, which would be unthinkable in the British Royal family.
Yes both her grandmothers attended and were visibly proud of their granddaughter. Quite a long speech for someone that young and very well delivered. it seems Felipe VI has to guide a promising young lady who will one day succeed him. So far so good.
Is the emotional lady at around minute 1.51 Queen Letizia's mother?
I understand the Princess also gave a tribute to Queen Sofia.
Leonor, Princess of Asturias, gave her first public speech during the ceremony of the Princess of Asturias awards.
She read a 5 minute speech, in Spanish, but with a few words in English, to greet international winners.
