I am reading 'The Mountbattens" by Andrew Lownie, a well received biography of Dickie and Edwina, Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma. Lownie relates a story from Philip Ziegler's book. Mountbatten, a widower in his 60s, was attending the wedding of the future King Juan Carlos. Mountbatten was pursued at the event by a beautiful princess in her 20s who stated she was madly in love with him and was determined to marry him. She caused a fuss by rearranging the place cards at the wedding banquet so she was sitting with Mountbatten. The object of her affections was very flattered. Do we know who the princess was that sat next to Mountbatten?
