Still, it's interesting to note examples of only daughters of only daughters: Queen Frederica of Greece was the third of five children and only daughter born to Princess Viktoria Luise of Prussia, who herself was the youngest of seven children and only daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. Princess Anne of Bourbon-Parma was the second of four children and only daughter of Princess Margarethe of Denmark, herself the youngest of five children and only daughter of Prince Valdemar of Denmark and Princess Marie of Orleans.
Mary, Princess Royal of Great Britain (aunt of the present queen) was the second of six children and only daughter of Princess May of Teck, herself the eldest of four children and only daughter of Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge. A present day non-royal example would be the commoner-born Duchess of Kent, an only daughter of an only daughter.
Now, Frederica had two daughters and only one son, while Anne had five daughters and no son. But the Princess Royal and the Duchess of Kent gave birth to two sons each.
