Anne d'Orléans or Simeon of Bulgaria apparently are not HRH for the spanish court, despite of their royal birth, just because they live in Spain .
Did the Dowager Duchess of Calabria became a spanish citizen after her marriage ?

: So, why is the Dowager Duchess of Calabria
: treated that way if she is just an
: impeccable lady?

: At her husbands funeral but in many reports
: on
: casa real she has just been Ana de Francia.
: She has taken note of this, I can assure
: you.

: Princess Ana is not officially a Royal
: Highness, but she has been always styled HRH
: at casareal.es. Even at her husband’s
: funeral. So, you are wrong.
: The appointment of Pedro as President of the
: Council of the military orders was not an
: official appointment, I mean, not by Royal
: Decree in the BOE, because the military
: orders have the status of private
: associations, not of civil orders. So, it
: was a “private” document and no problem with
: being styled HRH. Quite different to a RD.
: That’s why I do not understand the
: naturalisation RD. That certainly needs
: clarification.

: Princess Ana is not even officially Alteza
: Real, because of the protests of one person
: in the family when her husband was made an
: `infante. Before that date she had always
: been Alteza Real at protocol events as Don
: Carlos was invited as the head of the BDS
: family and appeared in the protocols (for
: example at the wedding of Infanta Elena as
: such even though he as already an Infante),
: with Princess An as S.A.R. Then, as
: personnel changed in the royal household,
: she was suddenly not listed as Alteza Real
: despite her birth and marriage. The real
: disgrace is that she was never given the
: title of Infanta saw walked behind her
: husband often - now it is too late to change
: this. The late of 1987 was supposed to
: clatify all this but it has made for more
: confusion between the private acts of the
: King, such as the appointment of Pedro de
: BDS as president of the council of the
: military orders in which he was accorded the
: title S.A.R. and the decree was signed “Yo
: el Rey’` whereas legally in Spain he is
: still “Exc.mo Sr”. I think perhaps there may
: be some clarification in the future. This
: situation exists in the UK where there is an
: official protocol governing the titles of
: the royal family, yet when the `hannover
: princes were married, the official notice in
: the Gazette in which the order in council
: authorisjng their marriages was published,
: accorded them all their royal titles.

: The Royal House website has avoided to
: publish
: pictures showing members of the King's
: family and only showed and mentioned members
: of the Royal Family, ie, the two couples.
: Usually, when Infantas attend, they are
: mentioned, but not this time. It simply says
: that 250 guest attended, among them members
: of the King's family.

: Strange to see Princess Irene of Greece, now
: HRH doña Irene de Grecia de Hannover in the
: first row, while the widow of an Infante of
: Spain is seated in the second one. I cannot
: believe it.
:
: Here you can see a picture of the
: "black Infantas".
