: Alvaro de Marichalar, Infanta Elena's former
: brother-in-law, also criticized Letizia.

:
: He claims she is a bad consorte who wants
: all the limelight and does not understand,
: after all these years, that the
: queen-consorte role means being the kings's
: supporter and not the leading actress.
:
: Picking the old Kodak moto "A picture
: is worth 1000 words", he praises Queen
: Sofia impecable role model and, pinching
: Letizia, says that "people should act
: in a respectful manner towards the monarchy
: institution, specially towards those who
: represent it"
:
: Letizia's attitude showed a very serious
: lack of respect for the Queen and the
: institution, and she should publicly
: apologize for her rude behaviour.
That’s the point to me: more than being disrespectful towards Queen Sofía, she disrespected tge monarchical institution. That’s why I think it’s so strange people on these fora defend her and almost condemn Queen Sofía for what happened. But then, I guess there’s a difference between a royal watcher and a monarchist.

: Yes, I've read that "friend"'s
: comment that she is very distressed with
: all that happened.
:
: Baloney.
:
: She knows what she did and why she did it.
: The last justification for the Palma
: incident was that she was angry with Q.
: Sofia because she was instrumental on the
: presence of Infanta Cristina at the D.Juan
: mass.
:
: Letizia wants distance with Cristina and
: Iñaki (unless he was sent to prison near by
: ), and Sofia had her way and Cristina could
: be present at the mass honouring her
: grand-father.

: Good. She needed to be taught that lesson
: because reports from her friends suggest she
: will not back off. She needs to understand
: that the Spanish Monarchy depends on the
: good will of the Spanish people.
