No new controversy surrounding any (say) German, Russian, or Balkan royals ... no old political or dynastic topic to bring up again, to rehash or regurgitate ...
The trouble is that in today's world, the royals (even in non-reigning dynasties, whose house rules cannot easily be amended) are no longer marrying their own kind -- or even nobles: as such, their weddings don't garner the interest they used to, in earlier days.
