Explained. Not a member of the House. Not even a member of the family. He got the surname by marrying the ex-wife of a Prince of H-E.

I cannot find any likely link. If his surname is legal it has to be by adoption or as a child born out of wedlock by one of Franz Joseph's three sons. Previous Message
I have not been able to find a male line between Franz-Joseph and this Harald. Neither could i find any stories online about an adoption.
There is a third option, that he is the son of the female line. As Prinz von Hohenzollern-Emden is formally his surname he could have opted for his maternal surname if she was a Prinzessin von Hohenzollern-Emden. Previous Message
It has been reported the sudden death of "Prince Harald of Hohenzollern-Emden" due to a heart attack.
The "Prince", aged 63, died in Namibia and was named the Diamant Prince as he worked in that branch: gems, precious stones and mines.
Last year, he married Josepha Schmid, who answers these days as Princess Josepha von Hohenzollern, a member of the german FDP party.
Josepha, aged 51, is expecting her first son in early July !
She has just presented herself to Mayoress of Leonberg town.

Though it is always tragic to loose her husband and father's son in such a trying moment, my question is : Who is this "Prince Harald" ?
The second branch of the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen family, issued from Pr.Franz-Joseph (1891-1964), uses the surname Hohenzollern-Emden, but I can't find anyone named Harald, namely on P.Theroff's files.
Remains the question. Who was he ? Fake Prince ? Bought the right to use the name ? One of those "adoptions" so current in Germany ?
