With the recent departure of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, Europe has one fewer sovereign with completely royal ancestry within three generations. Is it correct to state that there now are only three reigning monarchs (the kings of Norway and Sweden, the grand duke of Luxembourg) who can claim this?
I don't believe that even the king of Spain counts, since one of his great-grandparents, Queen Victoria Eugenie, was born a morganaut princess (Ena of Battenberg).
