Are there any succession disputes in either of these two dynasties? The reason for my asking is that Paul Theroff's online Gotha does not appear to be entirely up-to-date. The deaths of King Constantine II of the Hellenes and Margrave Max are marked; but there is no clear indication of the successor to either.
Of course, determining the succession in a non-reigning house is never an easy matter. My understanding of Theroff's scheme is to present in boldface the names of all dynastic members (as opposed to illegitimate persons or those born to morganatic unions).
Block letters, however, are reserved only for sovereigns and pretenders with uncontested claims to defunct thrones. Accordingly, Tsar Michael of Russia is acknowledged as the last undisputed Romanov claimant. Evidently even the claims of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich and Prince (called Grand Duke) Vladimir Kirillovich, father and son, have been contested -- never mind that of Princess (called Grand Duchess) Maria Vladimirovna.
Anyhow, I was just wondering why the names Pavlos and Bernhard are not presented in block letters, like those of their fathers: to the best of my knowledge, both are undisputed successors and heads of their respective houses.
Unless I'm mistaken ...
