Was his marriage in 1966 to Countess Yvonne Margit Valerie Szapáry recognized by the house as dynastic (if not exactly "equal"), as opposed to morganatic? He was a nephew of Prince Philip of the UK, and hence his wedding would have drawn much publicity.
By then, the two 20th century world wars were past, and marital standards amongst the various European dynasties would have been lowered -- although Austria and Württemberg were still enforcing their old house laws.
What about the religions of the respective spouses, and their children?
