The Kalmar Union united the three Scandinavian Kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden in a personal union from 1397 until 1523. During those years the heir was an heir to all three thrones. Previous Message
It wasn't that easy for the Danish Monarchs to keep the Swedish thrones. These are the years when a Danish King was King of Sweden.
