Michael of Roumania lived in Italy (already a republic), Switzerland, briefly in the UK before settling definitely in Switzerland until he was allowed to return to Roumania. His father Carol II's first exile was in France and the second was in Portugal wher he died. The Montenegro family took asylum in France. The Albanian RF had a very busy exile. From Greece to Turkey, then crossed half-Europe to Paris. When Germany invaded France, they moved to the UK, and, after WW2, to Egypt. Finally to Paris, where he died. Umberto II of Italy lived in Cascais (Portugal) and at the very end of his life, moved to Switzerland, where he died. His father Vittorio-Emmanuelle III seeked asylum in the kingdom of Egypt.
