Margareta holds a quasi-official position. She and her father are treated on the same level as any other former head of state, and she often participates in governmental ceremonies that have a traditional/historical aspect to them.
Really? A strange decision by a parliament in a republic.
Her father the late king Michael was styled as HM and when he died the Romanian parliament and government would style Margarita as HM the custodian of the crown. So it was not a style claimed by her but acknowledged by the Romanian State.
Margaret styles herself as being "Her Majesty".With this, does she :reign" in any capacity. How is she viewed by royals of the European countries who have active monarchs? She is "Custodian of the Crown of Romania"? Is there a legality here? A recent news item about Margaret said that the then Prime Minister was a royalist.
Are Montenegro, Albania and Serbia in a similar situation?
