It is good that Emperor Karl's process to sainthood is not being unduly fast-tracked, which can have embarrassing consequences, as with insta-sainted Pope John Paul II.
I was hoping another Catholic would answer you but here goes. Saints are not perfect; saints are not infallible; saints make mistakes. Look at St Augustine. What counts is the state of grace at the time of death and evidence that their intercession has been responsible for miracles.
This will be my only comment: I will not enter into debate with you. I wanted to put the record straight regarding non-Catholics’ misconceptions regarding sainthood.
